Qualifications: The successful candidate should have knowledge and experience in reporting and photographing people, places and newsworthy events. The ability to exercise initiative and work independently; ability to maintain confidentiality; demonstrated effective interpersonal and written and oral communication skills are very essential. Have extensive knowledge in computer publishing software and is graphically inclined. Also have knowledge in layout designing and be able to meet deadlines.

Duties:

•  Report and photograph on all assigned newsworthy events, people places etc.

•  Work after hours; even during statutory holidays

•  Record keeping on ads; P.O.'s and invoices.

•  Arrange appointments for interviews.

•  Some website maintenance

Requirements

•  Valid Manitoba Class 5 driver's license, and vehicle

•  Only those 18 years, or older may apply

•  Grade 12 graduate or higher

•  Good Written and oral communication skills

•  Knowledge in Photoshop 7.0 or higher, Adobe Indesign, Quark Express,

Dreamweaver, Adobe Acrobat and various publishing programs.

•  bondable

•  Physically able to move around

•  Police check/child abuse check

Salary: Commensurate with education and experience
